Hi all,
I didn't really have much birding time today, just a dog walk this morning,
and a short trip just now up to Brighton Dam. This morning the first bird I
put my bins on was a Blue-headed Vireo, my first this season. Also had an
Eastern Meadowlark in the fields. A Blue-gray Gnatcatcher was seen too.
Brighton Dam had at least 3 dozen CLIFF SWALLOWS flying all around above and
below the dam. An immature Bald Eagle flew high overhead, heading towards
Rocky Gorge reservoir, and a Red-tailed Hawk headed upriver. A lone Common Loon
was on the water.
Too busy for birding, but enjoyed working in the yard never-the-less. Had
some Broad-winged Hawks flying over all day in small numbers.
