Spent a nice 90 minutes at Rock Creek this morning en route to work, first visit for me this year. I also got a number of first of the year for me, in order of appearance:

 - Black-throated Green Warbler: nice male, first heard singing weakly then seen with chickadee group along the road between Picnic Area 18 (?) and the small horse field
 - Blue-headed Vireo: singing, seen well, in woods next to this field
 - Orange-crowned Warbler: almost skipped over this as a kinglet, seen with a group of Yellow-rumps, in same woods as above.

Many other early migrants around - Palm Warbler the commonest warbler this AM, all Yellow, and many in song; a lot of kinglets dominated by Ruby-crowned, also in song, but with some Golden-crowned. Winter Wren also seen, and a Hermit Thrush was heard singing.
