Sunny skies became partly cloudy; 34-56 degrees; winds from the west 10-17
mph, gusting to a high of 24.
Observations:
Hawks returning to the skies in good numbers after last week's storminess.
First Purple Martin of the season; 6 Red-throated Loons; 13 Rough-winged
Swallows; a few hundred Tree Swallows; close to 40 Bonaparte's Gulls.

Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at
the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best
winds are from the southwest.
