>From my office window, I saw a Merlin perched  on an antenna atop the
AFL-CIO building around 1:15 pm today (Wednesday).  The building is on
the corner of 16th and I Streets in downtown Washington, D.C. (about two
blocks from the White House).  

Later in the day, a Red-tailed Hawk was circling above downtown DC with
several gulls.
