   The weather was spectacular, unbeliebably warm and no breeze and a group 
of 8 birders were rewarded with 46 total species including 6 woodpecker 
species and 5 sparrow species. Highlights of the MCC/MOS sponsored birdwalk 
included N PINTAIL, H MERGANSER, SS HAWK, RT HAWK, RS HAWK, 4 YB SAPSUCKERS, 
E PHOEBE, WINTER WREN, HERMIT THRUSH, RUSTY BLACKBIRD (some rusty, some still 
quite gray to black), and several singing   (incredibly beautiful song) FOX 
SPARROWS.
