Bob,
Yes from time to time flickers visit my sunflower feeder.  But that is
usually if I have been negligent in putting cracked corn on the ground,
which they seem to prefer.  The Red-bellied woodpeckers also take black oil
sunflower seed, but seem to take corn more readily.

I know that some folks frown on the feeding of corn, saying that it
attracts starlings and crows.  The crows seem to check out the yard whether
or not I've put out corn,  (Although I swear they know when I open the
container inside the closed garage!)   and starlings  are not an issue as
we rarely see them.
