At Hughes Hollow this morning Roger Stone and I flushed an AMERICAN =
BITTERN where the main path and the first path to the right meet. There =
were also many RUSTY BLACKBIRDS in the area.
Earlier, we heard a sparrow song that reminded us of a house wren song =
and did not have that distinct Song Sparrow quality to it. We did get a =
look at the bird, but not a very satisfying one. Our guess was that it =
was a Lincoln's Sparrow, but its song did not sound like those on the =
Stokes bird song CDs. =20
Does anyone know of a good source on the web where I could find some =
samples of Lincoln's Sparrow songs? Any idea what other sparrow might =
have a bubbly wren-like song?
Thanks,
Andy Rabin

P.S. After a couple of siskinless days, I found 3 of them feeding on =
sunflower seeds this morning. Gemma??
