Howdy All!
Sorry for the late rpt. Work has been hectic. On
Monday, Oct 4, Kyle Rambo, Patty Craig, and I had 2 Am
Golden Plovers on the airfields at the Navy Base in
Lexington Park (St Marys County). With the plovers
was one lingering Buff-breasted Sandpiper.
This morning, Oct 7, the unidentified hummer came back
to the feeder (still INTO the sun...doh!). It sat on
the feeder for a full 8 minutes...with it's back to
me...aargh. The little critter was definitely hungry
with the 49 F temps and cold North winds. I was able
to make out enough on the tail and flanks to make it
into a Ruby-throated.
On the way to work today (Oct 7), I had a young male
Baltimore Oriole fly across the road in front of me
across from the model airplane airfield at Greenwell
St Park.
