George is right, my best MD year list was 300 in 1991.  I was actually doing 
a big year in Montgomery County and the state total was incidental, believe 
it or not.  The Mont. Co. list ended up at 229 as I searched frantically for 
the Snowy Owl that Bob Augustine had seen  on the top of his apartment 
building on Viers Mill Road, and another seen near Boyds.  I really wanted to 
top off at 230.  Ironically, I saw the owl the next day (Jan. 1, 1992) in 
Bethesda.  I tried mightily to concoct a valid reason to add it to the 1991 
list, but my deception skills failed me.

Mark's big year will be very difficult to eclipse because of the absence of 
Ocean City pelagics, but Armas Hill is running trips out of Lewes, DE and 
Cape May, NJ into MD waters, so all is not lost.  Can we get Marshall to 
spend an entire year in MD?
