Larry,
I would consider that a definite possibility....especially
considering that we couldn't locate the bird and it seemed real
close....like in the trees right next to the parking lot. I checked the tops
of all the dead trees, then I began searching the tops of all the live
trees , and then just outright scanned everthing in the general area. I
thought it very unlikely that any other bird would have that same
call....but just goes to show how completely intrigueing birding can
be....espeacially the auditory part. On the otherhand Olive-sided
Flycatchers have been seen at Snickers Gap in the past .....The call was a
very definite quick three beers......hmmm.... I guess its a definite
maybe.....
Thanks for the info!
William
