We had a pretty similar experience at about the same time on Thursday night
(8/26). We were driving on the 895 toward Baltimore, when over the Patuxent
River we counted approximately 30 nighthawks.

	Hi Gail et al.  

	I saw 4 Common Nighthawks from my 6th story office window facing north
over
	downtown Bethesda (Mont. Co.) at around 11 am yesterday (Aug. 26).  

	At around 6:45 pm, while I was stopped at a traffic light at East West
	Highway and Beach Drive in Chevy Chase, Montgomery Co., I counted 15
	nighthawks heading generally south.  

	At some point after 7 pm last night, Ottavio Janni saw large
aggregations
	of Common Nighthawks, perhaps 225 flying west.
