Hi.

Friday (Aug. 27th) I visited several spots on the Eastern Shore.  A few 
bright notes from
each site I visited:

John Brown Road
- Black-bellied Plover - 1
- American Golden Plover - 1
- Upland Sandpiper - 1
- Blue Grosbeak (singing) - 1

Ridgley Sewage Treatment Plant
- Least, Semi-sand, Spotted, and both yellowlegs
- pectorals and stilt sandpipers
- no more Godwits

Easton Waste Management Area
- too much water for shorebird habitat
- Blue-winged Teals - 17
- bobolink flock still there.

Route 313 near the drawbridge leading into Caroline County
- Common Moorhen - 8 (3 adult and 5 immatures)!
- Forster's Terns
- Semipalmated Plovers - 2

Hurlock Waste Management Area
- Tundra Swan,Snow Goose, and Ruddy Duck still there
- Black Terns - 3
- Northern Shoveler - 5
- Snowy Egret - 1
- Double-crested Cormorant - 1

Seen from car on return trip
- Bald Eagle - 1 (adult)
- Cooper's Hawk - 1

Also, I passed one TV tower on Route 50 with 51 roosting Turkey Vultures!

A fun day!
