Howdy birders, King Vulture is my handle and I've just rode in from Western Pennsylvania to spend more time with my young-uns and enjoy the mild winters. We are the proud owners in a community near Frederick, Maryland. I'm new to this lister-service which my Grandson signed me up for and reckon it proper to introduce myself. My grandson is the wise guy that calls me King Vulture after the birds he saw while serving in the Peace Corpse. He says I'm always waiting and looking real patient for something to die so I can stick my neck into it. So, howdy and it's a right pleasure knowing so many of you are interested in birds like myself. I'm very interested in reading all your checklists and thought you'd be interested in what I seen as well. I've already gone bird chasing with Mother (Maysie) after some of the real nice birds you all have described in your letters. Thank you for your kindness. Mother woke me up this morning at sunrise and I thought to give my new store-bought 10 power Tascos a run for their money. I didn't get far from the house, but saw some mighty nice ones. Ten House Sparrows (10) Twelve Purple/House Fincehs (12) Many Black-capped Chickadees (++) Three Carolina Wrens (3) Three Tufted Titmice (Titmouses?) (3) Many Gold Finches (we called them canaries when I was a boy) (+) Four Starlings (4) Happy trails, James _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
