Today, Dot Gustafson graciously offered to accompany me to Ridgely and lend 
her expertise in order to help me improve my pathetically poor shorebird 
identification skills.
Amid the Dowitchers, Semipalmated S., Lesser Yellowlegs, Pectorals, Leasts 
and Stilt S's, Dot found a delightfully cooperative L. GOLDEN-PLOVER that 
remained in close and in view for the entire 3 hours that we were there.
