Speaking only of Maryland, and only of the Piedmont, and mostly only
of Montgomery and Howard Counties, I agree that Acadian Flycatcher is
common, or more specifically dependable in the right habitat. But
why not check the data base -- the Patuxent MBR data base, that is!
The BBS trend map at

shows the MD piedmont are to be an area of increase for the species.
The trend list page, which is broken down by state also
shows this increase, but is not broken down by physiographic area.

Can we get some details about the reason for the posting on
