I was at Yosemite NP on June 4-7 of this year. Best birding spot I
found was Badger Pass Ski Area, off of Glacier Point Rd. It was closed
to autos, but the walk in was very short. Flycatchers, red-breasted
sapsucker, MacGillivray's warbler, etc. Easy birding around the parking
lots and paths. The young conifers and the shrubs in marshy areas were
loaded with birds!
I found black swift at an overlook on Big Oak Flat Rd. coming into
Yosemite Valley, not at Bridalveil Falls.
