There is a bird club in Northern Virginia that may be able to help you. 
I  (Danny (female) Crookston ) am the membership chair.  We have bird
walks to areas here in Arlington, Fairfax and Alexandria .  If you wish
please send a request to join to:  PO Box 9291, McLean VA and I will
send you a membership application.  We have weekly walks and out of this
