Joe Chronowski and I went birding in Susquehanna State Park to add
Yellow-throated Warbler to his life list. Our first stop where I had one two
times this past week was dead. We took a little walk and found a Prairie
Warbler (a lifer!). We then returned to the spot for the Yellow-throated and
it was there singing away. We then went to Rock Run and had many Parulas,
Myrtles, and a few Palm Warblers. Joe had a brief glimpse at a
Black-throated Green Warbler. We also had one Black and White, and one
Yellow-throated Vireo which were both new for the year for me. There were
many Chimney Swifts flying overhead, the first ones I've seen this year. We
ended the morning with 9 warblers.
