Fort Smallwood is located on the western shore of the
Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Patapsco River,
about 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD.  All numbers
are unofficial.

This past week was the best of the season so far,
ignoring the rainy day of April 1. We had
our first Broadwing and first Goshawk(a rare
visitor). Sunday was a spectacular day,
especially for Kestrels. 152 passed by between
2 and 5 pm, with a group of 18 coming all at once
around 5 pm, just before it started raining.
Observers were also delighted with the 47 Ospreys,
27 Harriers, 156 Sharpies and 3 Merlins.
