Jane had a single martin in St. Mary's the next day, 3/18. I don't think the Calvert bird is a record but it's pretty neat to see them so early. It was nice to meet you again since we'd only met once before when you came to look for the Tufted Duck a few years ago. That's actually what I went to the river to look for since there are hundreds of both scaup aggregating near Patterson Park Maybe next year... Good Birding! Migrants seen today - a Turkey Vulture struggling northward against the wind over the center of Baltimore, a large flock of windblown Robins at home this evening, and a single Killdeer flying over home also.
