This reminds me of the first time I attempted to sort out Commas
and Question Marks at Sycamore Landing and Hughes Hollow.  
Had no luck in the field - but I didn't realize it until I got back pictures
of both!  THEN I was able to sort them out!  I had blithely id'd both the 
butterflies I saw as Question Marks.  So the first Comma I ever saw 
I id'd in retrospect.
