Slaty-backed Gull at Conowingo???

I went Conowingo Dam today at 4:30 pm.  I talked to one person who said
the Slaty-backed Gull had been seen about an hour before but flushed
when an eagle flew over and had not been relocated.  I looked for 30
minutes but did not find it.  While looking, I talked with someone in
the Harford Bird Club who had doubts that the gull was the
Slaty-backed.  (He has not seen the gull previously.) So, was it there
or not?  I don't know.

There were very few gulls there at the time, probably 1000 or less.
