......to Hart-Miller Island so he can see "what I'm missing during the week." This not-so-stunning revelation appears on page 47 of the January issue of "Chesapeake Bay Magazine" in an article entitled "A Tale of Two Islands". While most of us would assume that he's talking about seeing more birds of the ornithological type, it turns out that there's wild life of two very different sorts out there, and the article deals with both. There's also a photo of Gene looking at something (one of the babes on the other side?) through a serious scope, some references to MOS activities.....and a nice photo of one of the other birds. ;^) ______________________ Change of subject: On page 87, there's an ad for chartering the Pauline, an 83' motor yacht. The steel hull, originally around 50', spent many years as a fish-ferry boat, transporting catches from offshore trawlers to processing plants in Maine. I know, and have sailed with, the folks who fitted her out so exquisitely that you'd be hard put to imagine her former existence. While I don't know, and therefore can't speak about, the couple pictured who are now the "captain and hostess", if you ever have a chance to go aboard and look around, you'll be glad you did. .....and now back to birds, David Strother Bethesda, Maryland dstrother@pop.dn.net
