Hooded Mergansers along Route 50

I spotted 11 hooded Mergansers in a farm pond on the Southern side of Route 50
just east of Davidsonville Road today at 11:00 AM. There were 6 males and 5
females smimming with 3 pairs of Mallards. The pond can be seen almost
immediately as you pass under Davidsonville Road so you don't have to slam on
the brakes and create a hazard to traffic.
