     A gentle reminder that all color marked birds and bird bands should be 
     reported to the Bird Banding Laboratory (except pigeon bands). This 
     can be done via 'snail mail' or through 1-800-327-BAND. The 1-800 
     number is for reporting sightings and band numbers only.

Subject: Canada Goose- Red Band

At Centennial Park, in Howard County, Maryland on 11-28-98 I observed 
(among the 400 geese on the lake) one goose, with a red neck band with 
white lettering. (5XM4) Does anyone know where this type of band is 
used?
