Hi All:
Marcia Whitmyre and myself spent 11/05 in Cape May and area.  Parasitic
Jaeger was a life bird for each of us, at the Avalon Sea Watch.  Black
and Surf Scoters streamed by quite steadily, and we had one flock of
White-wing Scoters as well.  Gannets seemed to be constantly in sight.
I especially enjoyed the sightings as I was using my new scope ( what a
difference )purchased the afternoon before at the Goshen location of
the  Cape May Bird Observatory.  In the morning we had great looks at a
Swainsons Hawk at the Hawk watch, life bird for me.  Lily Pond hosted a
Eurasion Wigeon, which we were able to find without too much trouble.
No luck at finding the Harris sparrow, reported at a closeby feeder  the
day before. We stayed at the Madison Hotel, good rates, clean and
attractive.  To find an open restaurant this time of year proved to be
quite a challenge.  We ended up at the Lobster House- very good, but go
to the coffee shop, same food, fraction of the price.
