migrant wave at rock creek, brief report

the cold front brought good numbers of migrants to rock creek park this
morning.  a brief report follows:

time: 0730-0845
location: ridge only (picnic ares 17/18); too many birds to leave!

warblers:
BTG (most common), BTB, Cape May, Parula, Nashville, B&W, YR, Magnolia,
Ch-Sided, Common Yellowthroat

vireos: RE, Warbling

others: Sc Tanager, YB Sapsucker, YB cuckoo, Swainson's Thrush, RC
Kinglet, W-Throated Sparrow

blue jays and RB woodpeckers were moving through.  A red-headed woodpecker
flew over my yard in NW DC as I headed out. 

perhaps someone who had more time in the park can provide additional
sightings.
