I find Chimney Swifts in the same general location every year. There are
many chimneys within a small area at the corner of Canterbury Rd. & W 39
St. here in Baltimore. One year they may all be funneling into one
chimney, and the next year into another. Some years there are 2000-4000
birds, other years only 1000.
They are always fun to watch as they circle by the hundreds and drop into
the chimney in small groups.
