Backyard Hawkwatch - northeast Baltimore City - Fall 1998
-White Ave. between Belair Rd. and Walther Ave.
An impressive number of Broad-winged Hawks are moving pretty fast. A
total of 2407 were counted including a sinlge kettle of 777. Many more
will be coming in the next few days because I recieve a e-mail from
BIRDHAWK that 6,000 Broad-winged Hawks seen along eastern Massachusetts
today as of 3:00pm and are moving south-southwest, the BIRDHAWK alert me
and others along eastern Pennsylvania, northwest NJ and Backyard
Hawkwatch (that's me) to keep a lookout in the next 3 to 5 days.
I hope some of you who volunteer at Turkey Point and other hawkwatch
location have a chance see a good number of BWs this week.
