Liberty Lake has dropped about two feet this summer and mudflats
are forming at the north end of the lake (north of Rt.140). Yesterday I
was without a 'scope but could make out about 10 Killdeer, a Solitary
Sandpiper, peeps including Least and Western, and a Great Egret. Access
is from the railroad that crosses the upper edge of the lake.
Hot much, but it's a start. As the lake continues to recede more
flats will be created.
