Karen called me Sat nite to report the Loony Excitement and so Steve Sanford &
I made the trip on 6/14 in the A.M.
This PA bird did not appear as well decked out in breeding plumage as the D.C.
guy. Neither was he as cooperative in shore hugging or quiet sitting.
However,in his defense, the water close to shore at Long Arm Reservoir, unlike
D.C., is quite shallow and maybe the fish aren't as plentiful. He spent a
large amount of time underwater.

What a thrill to observe not one but two PL's AND in different "clothes." this
season.
