Rob,
 I just wanted to say "THANKS" for not only finding this bird, but making the
rest of the local birding community so immediately aware of its presence. Too
bad we couldn't put a sign-in book on the railing at Hains Point, so all those
who subsequently found (and enjoyed) the bird  could leave you a few notes.
This is really a spectacular bird, and it puts on quite a show in its feeding.
I may even take my (non-birding) wife and kids down over the weekend to see
it. Thanks again.
