The reports from Mary Ann Todd and Roger Stone about the Little Blue Heron, Red-headed Woodpecker, etc serve as a most timely heads-up for the Public Hearing on the Black Hill Master Plan next Tuesday (7 pm May 19 at Little Seneca Creek Lodge, 14500 Clopper Road, Boyds). The Master Plan may or may not be available prior to the meeting, but all signs point to wanting to maximize recreational uses of the park space, with lots of traffic and pavement. Anybody who wants to preserve the amazing natural resources of Black Hill should plan on showing up Tuesday night. Lydia Schindler Darnestown
