For those birders who would rather not share the woods with masked,
camouflaged hunters armed with 12 gauge magnums, be aware that spring turkey
hunting starts today(4/18) and runs until 5/16. Hunters can hunt from 1/2
hour before sunrise until 12:00 noon. To avoid hunters in public areas such
as McKee-Beshers, simply bird afternoons or on Sundays. NO hunting is
allowed in Maryland on Sundays.
