Looked out the bedroom window a few days ago at 2:00 p.m. and saw a Barred Owl sitting on a branch, near the rail, starring at the window. He (or she) may have been looking for one of the mice that eat the feeder spillage or he may have thought he was seeing a potentially "significant other" in the relection in the window. I grabbed the 400 mm and snapped a picture thru double (dirty) panes. He then flew. Probably frightened - maybe disappointed. Jack Leighty Huntingtown jleighty@chesapeake
