TURKEY SITED IN Rockville/Bethesda area

On Thursday January 8th I saw a wild turkey in the Montrose Forest 
Community.  The Turkey was not far from our townhouse.  I was about 60 
feet from the bird as I watched it tear up the landscaping by pecking 
and scratching the ground.  It quickly dissapeared into the woods.  This 
struck me as unusual because this is a highly residential area.  The 
bird was skiddish, moving into the woods every time a car passed...but 
he did come back out a few seconds later.  If any birders are looking 
for a Turkey you may be able to find it off of Montrose Rd. In Rockville 
MD.  Take I 270 to Montrose Rd east.  Most of the woods you see is 
connected.  I saw it near East Jefferson Street/Executive Blvd.  Any 
ideas where it came from, please write back.
