I birded at the Broad Creek Scout Camp location in Harford Co., from 0830 to 1230 today (Tuesday, 12/23/97). Marshall Iliff and George Jett were with me from about 1000 on. There was a flock of 6 Red Crossbills of and on all morning in the pines "behind" the Lucinda Jacobs Health Lodge (actually several pine standing, extending all the way down the hill). Single and 4 fly-overs give a total of 6-11 for the day. No white-wings. Other species of interest include 1 Pine Warbler, 3 Fox Sparrows, and 1 Pine Siskin. (Marshall and George also had several Red Crossbills and a flock of 20+ White- wings along Deer Park Rd. just W of Liberty Reservior, (Carroll Co., MD), just N of the power line crossing nearest the Reservior, in the morning.)
