Susq River, Sun 11/9

Folks,

   Although I did not see the Pacific Loon, I still had a satisfying
morning checking out the Susq River today between 7 and 10.  I tried
a different perspective than that taken by Saturday's birders, and
birded from the Harford County shore of the river.

   Most of the action was from a utility clearing located off of River
Road across from the mouth Conowingo Creek (Cecil Co).  In the ADC
Harford map book, it's Map 6, Block F9.  Birds included

   13 red-throated loon
    + common loon
    5 horned grebe
    1 pied-billed grebe
   ~10 common merganser
   ~10 bufflehead
    4 black scoter
    3 surf scoter
    1 ruddy duck

   Crummy weather for much of the time, but fun birding!
