Caroline Co. held Cm. Merg's at Tanyard and Choptank. A Hooded Merg was seen on the large private pond across from Willston Warf Rd. At the end of Willston Warf Rd. was a Red-throated Loon. I was very surprised to find this bird so far up the river. Tuckahoe St. Park held a Red-breasted Nuthatch at the piney picnic area. At the last 309 Pond (closest to 213) in Queen Anne's Co. was a large Snow Goose flock that yielded one Ross' Goose. Chesapeake Farm's duck rest area pond held the usual dabblers. A single Coot was seen on the first pond on your left heading south from Rock Hall. Two Gr. White-fronted Geese were seen working a field on the the left about 2 miles north of Eastern Neck NWR. Millington held many calling Woodcocks at dusk. Sunday, Gadwall and Am. Wigeon seen on Barren Creek Pond in Wicomico Co. Also a flock (200-250) Redhead were seen on the Nanticoke south of Nanticoke (town). Sat at Tanyard Sunday evening with Stasz, Powell, Holbrook, Hubble, and Baer (Zach I hope I spelled your name right sorry if I didn't) watching the Black-headed Gull until it decided to fly back over to Talbot Co. _________________________________________________________________ Take off on a romantic weekend or a family adventure to these great U.S. locations. http://special.msn.com/local/hotdestinations.armx ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
