While scope scanning I noticed what appeared to be a small black log floating along in some fairly turbulant troughs. I followed it along and it briefly rode a crest and turned into a stubby little bird with a stubby little bill and white underparts seperated by a black shoulder patch. Good news -- Dovekie. Saw it twice more then lost it. Bad news -- Carol didn't get on it. I'm in deep stuff. Stayed until 4PM. Could not relocate it, but saw third Razorbill.
