Also present were Adam Smith and a birder from Pennsylvania. = Score: Cedar Waxwing - 11. Adam and I also went to the Ridgely area, mostly Sparks Road near = Stevenson, for birds in the fields between 0930 and 1030. We stayed = until an eagle flushed the entire flock of geese into the center of the = field where they were too far to identify. Score: Snow Goose - 100 = acres, Richardson's Goose - 1, Harrier - 2, Horned Lark - 4, Pipit - 23. In a field on Route 304 about 2 miles west of Ruthsburg were about = 800 Tundra Swans. Adam and I returned to the nursery between 1130 and 1145. There = were no waxwings present. The most impressive sight of the day was the entire flock of Snow = Geese in the air in a tight formation. It was like being on the outside = of a blizzard looking in.
