I was in the kitchen looking out at the finch feeder being amazed that there were no birds on it which was unusual, when the earthquake rumbled through from east to west. We felt the effects of it for about 1-1 1/2 minutes. It knocked the finch feeder off the hook which the winds of the hurricane didn't even do. Outside for about 20 minutes afterward there was no sign of bird life. Then in a flash it was back to usual with all the feeders full.
