I hope they stay around until after the storm passes. Leave your feeders out. The first Yellowbook record of a Rufous Hummingbird is September 12. I plan to leave at least one feeder out until January 15, 2004. The only notable sighting at Allen's Fresh on Sunday was five Kestrels on the wire. The last storm like the one predicted for Thursday - Friday, I had a Parasitic Jaeger at Cobb Island on September 17, 1999. If the electricity stays on, I plan to do a sea watch, plus check the turf farm for migrant plovers and sandpipers. New county records are possible with this type of system. Good luck to all, but use caution, and be safe. Hope they can survive the hurricane! We'll have to take all of our feeders down probably starting Thursday morning until whenever on Friday. > > > Tyler Bell > bell@acnatsci.org > California, Maryland > > Wave that flag...wave it wide and high! > Grateful Dead, U.S. Blues > > >>> "George M.
