A flyover Sharp-shinned Hawk was my second for the season (I had one near here last Friday, Sept. 5), and was shortly followed by a lovely juvenile YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER, seen near the end of the first "field" (on the north side) perched in a willow over a small stand of cattails (which are actually growing along the edge of the woods), which stayed for a short time before flying into the woods and disappearing. A small pocket of warblers included Black & White, A. Redstart, and Magnolias, and a single Parula, as well as a few Red-eyed Vireos, and a White-eyed too. 2-3 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds were about, one being chased by (and subsequently chasing) a Magnolia Warbler. A pair of immature male Rose-breasted Grosbeaks were together by the edge of the first field on my way back out. N. Flickers were vocal and flying around, and a House Wren caused me momentary confusion by its location. Hoping it would be a Winter wren, but no. Things are moving through, get out and LOOK!
