I guess the early Gen-X, I mean brood X, are what I've been hearing. I didn't find anything on the websites about the Cicada festivals featuring people dressed up as Cicadas, dancing and Cicada-style singing, special foods featuring Cicadas and of course, lots of drinking of the special Cicada wine. A tradition that hasn't started yet, I guess. Wonder if this will take business away from my suet and grub feeders. fdp -------------------------------------------------------------------- Fred Pierce (DNRC)- fpierce@avialantic.com Mid-Atlantic Aviation on the Web - http://www.avialantic.com Mid Atlantic Air Museum events: "Planes, Trains, & Automobiles" Sept. 20-21 2003 http://www.maam.org/transhow.html and Avsim Conference Sept. 26-27 www.avsim.com *** World Airshow News - www.worldairshownews.com ** --------------------------------------------------------------------- > -----Original Message----- > From: Maryland Birds & Birding [mailto:MDOSPREY@HOME.EASE.LSOFT.COM]On > Behalf Of Walter Ellison > Sent: Wednesday, August 27, 2003 6:35 PM > To: MDOSPREY@HOME.EASE.LSOFT.COM > Subject: Re: [MDOSPREY] Cicada celebration > > > Hi Folks, > > We found that the upper cicada link posted yesterday was broken and > did a little web searching to find the update which is given below. > Enjoy - this is a very nice, well illustrated internet reference.
