It was first about .25+ mile west from the parking area, mainly in a fallen maple tree on the Carroll Co side of the river, about 50 feet short of the first substantial side stream after the metal gate on the main trail. Later it moved one or two hundred yards east of there in similar habitat on the river. It was easy to see, and sang most of the half-hour I was in the area. The usual Worm-eating Warbler was again by the rocks near the end of Henryton Road. Yesterday (May 11) on the regular Sunday walk at Cylburn Arboretum in N Baltimore there was a Prothonotary Warbler singing in the little swamp at the bottom of the maintenance area trail. Visibility into the area is very poor but it was visually confirmed by one participant. Joe Lewandowski heroically severed the last 2-inch thick vine that was making passage over the fallen tree on the maintenance trail very difficult. He chipped away at it for ~15 minutes with a pruner designed for much smaller diameters. Thank you, Joe!
