It's called (gasp) an open window and it seems to work just fine, particularly this time of year. I can hear everybody out there just fine with it. Admit it is somewhat impractical for year-around use but during these wonderful days of April, May and early June, I tend to use it a lot. Works real well in fall, too. Summer gets a bit rough and so does winter. Can I recommend it or am I talking to some mushrooms? I will issue one warning with it: if you got one of those sixteen-year-old neighbors with a boom box in his car trunk, it can get a bit hard to hear the birds. Or anything else, like your own thoughts for instance.
