The Blue Gray Gnatcatchers and White Eyed Vireos arrived on Tuesday. A group of 8 or 9 Chimney Swifts flew high over the pond this morning, the first I've seen of them this spring. Tree, Barn, and Rough Winged Swallows arrived sometime last week. Up to three Caspian Terns had been frequenting the pond at the end of last week and beginning of this week. I didn't see any today. Also of note have been several Double Crested Cormorants, a Ruddy Duck, a flyover Common Loon (fairly high up), a Palm Warbler (April 10th), and a Swamp Sparrow (yesterday).
