          Here are the directions to Croydon Creek, from "A Birder's Guide to
Montgomery County Maryland",
published by the Montgomery Chapter of the M.O.S. :

               From I-270 north, take exit 6 onto eastbound Route 28 and
follow it as it goes through downtown
   Rockville, across Rockville Pike (Route 355), and then over the Metro
tracks to a stoplight,
   where Route 28 makes a 90-degree left turn and becomes First Street.
Continue on First Street for
   0.3 miles to the light at Baltimore Road.  Turn right and drive 0.3 miles
on Baltimore to
   Edmonston Drive. Turn left and then quickly right to enter the Civic
Center grounds.  Keep following
   the road, passing on your right the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theater and the
19th Century Glenview Mansion.
   Continue downhill past the tennis courts...  The nature center is about a
hundred yards past the tennis courts
   on the left.
