The snow blower and multiple feedings produced a nice collection. Our house is in Waldorf, Charles Co., MD. Female Sharp-shinned Hawk - took a Mourning Dove, and sat with the dove by the dining room window before taking off with the dove. Gwen saw this. Red Shouldered Hawk - perched for the longest time in Red Maple Tree behind the feeder area, after it left the feeder arm. What do you feed a Red Shouldered Hawk - dehydrated or live mealworms? I tried a raw pork chop with no luck. Take a squirrel, please. 10 Mourning Doves, and then there were nine. Red-bellied Woodpecker - at least two Downy Woodpecker - maybe 6 Hairy Woodpecker at least two Flicker - heard only Yellow-bellied Sapsucker - 2 American Crow - 6 Blue Jay - 10 Carolina Chickadee - 6 - a guess Tufted Titmouse - competing with the Blue Jays for the split peanuts - 8 White-breasted Nuthatch - 2 Carolina Wren - 2 Hermit Thrush - 2 - they seem to favor the hulled sunflower seed and split peanut. American Robin - 1 on the ground Northern Mockingbird - 1 eating hulled sunflowers seeds European Starling - 8 eating everything Northern Cardinal - 12 Eastern Towhee - 5; 3 males, 2 females Fox Sparrow - 1 Song Sparrow - 1 White-throated Sparrow - 20 Dark-eyed Junco - over 100 Red-winged Blackbird - 4 Common Grackle - 70 also eating everything Brown-headed Cowbird - 4 House Finch - 20 but feeding on the ground; not eating on the feeders this weekend? American Goldfinch - 45 and no House Sparrows in 20 months. Mammals: 1 Fox on Sunday 12 Deer daily 15 Squirrels Feed the birds.
